Only a legal representative can submit a Kube ESG report. This page explains who qualifies as a legal representative, how to invite them to the platform, and what to do if you believe you should have submission rights yourself.

1. Who is a legal representative?

A legal representative is a person officially registered in your company's management bodies at the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO/BCE).

This often include roles such as:

• Managing director (zaakvoerder / gérant)
• Board director (bestuurder / administrateur)
• CEO or statutory representative listed in the company's founding deed (statuten / statuts) or a subsequent amendment published in the Belgian Official Gazette (Belgisch Staatsblad / Moniteur belge)
• A permanent representative (vaste vertegenwoordiger) of a legal entity that holds a board mandate

You can verify who is registered as legal representative for your company on the public KBO portal: kbopub.economie.fgov.be

Search your company by name or enterprise number, then go to Functions to see the listed representatives.

💡 Tip: Legal representative status at the KBO follows from what is published in the bylaws (articles of association) and official appointment deeds. Changes to the KBO can take several weeks to appear after a notarial deed. If you were recently appointed, this may explain a mismatch.

2. How to invite your legal representative

If you are not the legal representative yourself, you can easily involve them via Kube ESG — no manual verification needed.

Steps:

1. Log into the Kube ESG Portal at kube.isabel.eu
2. Go to Settings → User Management
3. Add the email address of your legal representative and send the invite
4. Once they click the link in the invitation email and log in with itsme, they will be automatically recognised as legal representative if they are listed as such in the KBO
5. They can then open the report and click Submit report
