Kube ESG is a joint product by Isabel Group and Karomia, created to help SMEs efficiently share their ESG data with key stakeholders such as banks, investors, and customers. The initiative was launched by Febelfin together with Belgium’s four major banks—ING, BNP Paribas Fortis, Belfius, and KBC—to empower SMEs. The platform centralizes ESG data, allowing SMEs to share their VSME information securely and selectively through one system, reducing the need to respond to multiple surveys or one-off data requests. Essentially, KubeSG acts as a secure company vault for managing and sharing ESG data within a unified ecosystem.
Kube ESG leverages the VSME report and is thus following the value chain cap which the EU is putting in place to protect companies from different ESG data request. A VSME represents the maximum data-set any stakeholder can request from a EU company (which is not in scope of CSRD).

In order to be compliant with their own regulatory requirements banks and investors need from their clients/portfolio companies their ESG data. The banks and investors define themselves from which companies they require the ESG data. For example for investors it depends on their own SFDR regulatory obligations whether they require the ESG data from their portfolio companies.
